Elijah Mcneeley uses acrylic paint on canvas to create vibrant, energizing large scale abstracts

In 2019, Elijah Mcneeley was introduced to painting by a close friend who encouraged him to try it just for fun. When the paint brush touched the canvas for the first time, that was the moment that everything seemed to come together. 26 years of creativity came pouring out all at once.

The freedom of expression, the bold, bright colors, and the thrill of creating became insatiable. Since then, he hasn't been able to slow down. Always experimenting with colors, taking on larger canvases, and pushing the limits of his creativity.

Inspired by Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Cy Twombly, and Jasper Johns, art has taught Elijah the valuable lesson of being authentic. Being authentic is the most important aspect of art. When Elijah loves a painting that’s when he knows it’s done and ready to be seen by the world. Elijah has learned that when he paints authentically, that’s when people get to really see who he is.
