Robin Koffler

New York City, New York

Robin Koffler uses oils to create colorful New York City landscape, floral and still life paintings.

A lifelong New Yorker, Robin Koffler has been painting for nearly 20 years in addition to her full-time occupation as an established jewelry designer. Robin's work reflects her unique painting style, which blends abstract realism with a distinctive impressionistic color palette. Her subject matter is her own back yard - New York City - capturing the magic and energy of the people, the parks and streetscapes.

Inspired by Wayne Thiebaud, and painting to the sounds of the Talking Heads, Robin is a fourth generation artist. In fact, her great grandmother graduated from Cooper Union in 1913 (she has a wonderful drawing hanging in her apartment). Robin’s grandmother was a college level art teacher and an accomplished multi-media artist and her mother a sculptor and painter.

Art is a necessary part of Robin’s life. Fittingly, she approaches every painting with enthusiasm and energy.
