Shayna Goodman uses paint and mixed media to create clean, natural, organic abstracts.
Shayna Goodman is a New York City-based artist. Her paintings are characterized by a simplified form, soft hues, and broad, thin washes of color. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Dickinson College and a Master of Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Her work has been seen in Condé Nast's, House & Garden Magazine. In addition to her artistic endeavors, she also currently works at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
Inspired by work of artists Cy Twombly, Kenneth Noland, Lee Krasner, and the words of Robert Frost and Raymond Carver, Shayna believes art is personal and unique to each individual. She is continually drawn to abstract compositions that give viewers the freedom to assign their own perspective to the work.
